Barratt/David Wilson Homes have kindly provided the Wixams Community Group with some funding to create a ‘yarn bombing’ group in Wixams!

The idea is the group make knitted/crocheted art pieces to put up across town, or they could create a display somewhere for a specific event. Members would meet regularly to share ideas, and for the more experienced people to help the novices learn how to knit/crochet.

If you like arts and crafts this group might be right up your street so please join us on Wednesday 6th April at 7pm in the Swan Room, Lakeview Village Hall, all are welcome. If you can’t make the start that’s no problem, the room is booked until 9pm so drop in at any point.

If you already knit or crochet please bring along some knitting needles, size 4mm needles, some yarn if you have some (ideally red, white and blue) and/or anything else you think would be useful.
