SUMMARY:The September Sunday Super Sausage Shindig!
DESCRIPTION:The Wixams bikers meet on the first Sunday of the month at Seasons and for September they’ll be running a charity ride-out to raise money for Operation Oscar Bear. \nOscar is a 3 year old from Wixams who suffered a Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE) event at birth. He is living with Cerebral Palsy and needs help to get an operation and intensive rehab which would change his life. You can read more about his story here: \njust4children.org/operationoscarbear \nWe’re inviting all motorbike riders from Wixams\, neighbouring villages and beyond to come along to the meet on Sunday 3rd September at 11 am. Together we’ll then ride up to the Super Sausage Café near Towcester to raise money for the operation and to show our support for Oscar and his family. \nTo take part in the rideout we’ll be asking for a donation of just £10 on the day and every penny will go to Oscar’s fund. All bikers are welcome including mopeds and 125s on ‘L’ plates so text your mates to spread the word and let’s see how much we can raise!

We’ll be inviting local councillors and parish council members to attend the meetings so we can be sure you have access to the right information and the right people to take issues forward. \nAt the first meeting Cllr Graeme Coombes (Borough councillor for Wilshamstead ward) will be at the meeting with the latest news about the doctor’s surgery. This includes outcomes from discussions with the mayor who sits on the Integrated Care Board.  \nThere are a lot of issues in Wixams which will only get resolved by working together as a community. If you want to see real change for our town and have the best chance of us getting the facilities we were promised here’s your opportunity to get involved. \nThe group have confirmed that the meeting will be attended by some of the candidates for the upcoming election for the new Wixams & Wilstead ward. This will be a good opportunity for them to hear directly from residents about the issues they’re facing. SUMMARY:Wixams Kids' & Adults' Halloween Parties
DESCRIPTION:The Wixams Events Team and Wixams Community Group will be hosting not one\, but two Halloween parties this October! There’s a party for the younger kids in the afternoon\, followed by an evening do for the adults\, teens are welcome too. Both events will take place on Saturday 29th October at Lakeview Village Hall. \nKids Party\nFrom 5pm we’ll be holding the first party of the day which is for kids up to 12 years old. Tickets cost only £3 per child and come with a free hot dog (veggie option available). There will be a range of entertainment on offer for all age groups\, including music and games. There will also be a prize for the best fancy dress outfit\, so we’re looking forward to seeing all the little witches\, ghosts\, zombies and more! \n\nTickets £3 per child\nUp to age 12\n5:00 – 6:30 pm\n\nKids’ party tickets now sold out\nAdults’ Party\nThe adults’ party has been cancelled due to lack of demand.
