Collection for Bedford’s Homeless

In collaboration with Bedford Homeless Partnership

Rough sleeping has increased nationally by 165% since 2010, with Bedford having an average of seven rough sleepers per 1000 homes, making it the 8th highest number of rough sleepers in the whole of England. However, Bedford is also the home of the most generous people in the whole of the UK!

Winter is the hardest time for rough sleepers and we would like to support them getting through the cold season. We’re inviting all residents to come along and donate any of the items listed below to create one big contribution from the entire Wixams community.

We will also have a cash donations tin on that day, if you would like to help the Bedford Homeless Partnership in that way.

Even a small contribution could make a difference to someone’s life, so when you’re out on your weekly shop next time, please consider the list below.

We will be running a drop-off session for donations in Lake Village Hall

Saturday 25th January 12pm – 3pm

If you are unable to make the date, but would still like to make a donation, please visit the following charities to see how you may be able to help:

Please visit the Bedford Homeless Partnership website to find out more about them and the services they provide.
