A message from the Wixams Residents’ Association…

Starting on Wed 12th April we’re going to be hosting quarterly residents’ meetings so that you can find out news and events about the development of our town and have a forum to raise issues which are affecting you. We’ll be inviting local councillors and parish council members to attend the meetings so we can be sure you have access to the right information and the right people to take issues forward.

At the first meeting Cllr Graeme Coombes (Borough councillor for Wilshamstead ward) will be at the meeting with the latest news about the doctor’s surgery. This includes outcomes from discussions with the mayor who sits on the Integrated Care Board. 

There are a lot of issues in Wixams which will only get resolved by working together as a community. If you want to see real change for our town and have the best chance of us getting the facilities we were promised here’s your opportunity to get involved.

The group have confirmed that the meeting will be attended by some of the candidates for the upcoming election for the new Wixams & Wilstead ward. This will be a good opportunity for them to hear directly from residents about the issues they’re facing. Mayor Dave Hodgeson has also expressed an interest in attending the meeting, so if you have questions for him or want to hear directly about his plans for Wixams if re-elected this will be your best opportunity.
