Wixams Parish Council, in conjunction with Wixams Community Group, are pleased to invite all Wixams residents to participate in our first Scarecrow Festival from 3-5 October 2025. Culminating in a prizegiving ceremony at Lakeview Village Hall on Sunday 5th October, there are plenty of ways to get involved over the weekend.

You can:

• Enter as a household – Get the whole family together and craft something a-maize-ing to display in front of your house.
• Enter as a community group – Build a straw-some creation with your classmates, teammates or colleagues to display in one of Wixams’ public spaces and compete for a £100 voucher for your group!
• Follow the trail – Make hay-ste over 48 hours and spot all the scarecrows across Wixams – maps will be available from the village hall.
• Sponsor the festival – Corn-tribute to the community, and receive valuable advertising and the opportunity to join the judging and prizegiving process.
